"The beauty of the ephemeral"
Aesthetically it is a reproduction of the designs by the Japanese designer Maiko Takedo, using synthetic hair, but Borealis, as its name suggests, is inspired by the Northern Lights.
A white environment representing the polar white of the snow with flashes of colour from the auroras during certain nights of the year. A reference to the beauty of the ephemeral, which fades quickly and never appears again in the same form.
The art of hairdressing can be seen in this concept as the creations of stylists are only temporary, eventually disappearing to revert back to the hair’s natural form.
